How many treatment sessions will I need?

Since the pigmented serum is injected into the epidermis layer, so very shallow into the skin, its saturation is built up over time. Likewise, micro/nanoneedling improves the texture and state of the skin gradually.

Although results can be seen in 1 to 2 sessions, we recommend 3. To maximize results, 3 to 4 sessions are recommended once every 2 to 4 weeks. After the recommended sessions are completed, results can last for up to 6 months or longer with proper number of treatments and aftercare. 

Contradictions

The BB Glow Facial should be avoided by those who:

The therapist uses a microneedling pen and a Stayve white serum with foundation in it to provide you with instant sheer coverage, reducing the appearance of pores, and smooths fine lines and wrinkles. The serum contains hyaluronic acid to make your skin more radiant and plumper and vitamin C to treat freckles and hyperpigmentation.

The serum also treats your skin from the inside. The therapist uses a microneedling pen to penetrate the foundation into the skin. The microneedling pen roll tiny needles over the skin which cause trauma, forcing the body to go into its natural repair mode,  increasing the collagen and elastin production.  The therapist can adjust the speed and length of the needles, according to the area being treated.

There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities. You may experience temporary tightness, redness, or irritation after the treatment. 

Does the BB Glow Facial Hurt?

No.

The tips of the tiny needles on a nanoneedling pen are extremely thin, and as such, the cuts made are so tiny they don’t hurt. On top of their microscopic diameter, they penetrate the skin very shallowly. The penetration of the nanoneedles does not hurt. It feels like tingling, or very slight stinging at most.

How Do I Prepare for the BB Glow Treatment?

The micro needling BB glow doesn’t require any complicated preparation, but here’s what you should do:

  • Discontinue use of Retinol, Retin A, or Vitamin A for 5 days before the treatment
  • If you take any acne or blood-thinning medication, consult your doctor and see if it’s possible to discontinue use for some time before the treatment.
  • Do a patch test.  $50 if you think you might allergic to our product. 

AFTERCARE ADVICE

After the treatment, you will be unable to wash the face for 24 hours.

Aftercare tips include:

  •  Avoid wearing makeup for 3 days
  • Avoid sunbathing, including sunbeds
  • Avoid using any scented skincare products
  • Avoid saunas, hot tubs, hot showers and baths, and hairdryers for 48 hours (shower and bathe with room temperature water and use a hairdryer on medium to low setting)
  • Avoid swimming for 7 days
  • Avoid washing your face for 24 hours
  • Avoid eating spicy food and seafood for 3 days
  • Avoid using retinol products and vitamin C for 8 weeks 
  • After 24 hours, wash your face with lukewarm water and mild soap for a few days (avoid harsh products)
  • Don’t touch your face for a few days
  • No facials and harsh skincare for at least 10days
  • Wear a moisturising cream with an SPF 30 or higher
